Starting your own business and picking the right niche in no time

An unconference is a participant-driven meeting that emphasizes the informal exchange of information and ideas, rather than following a conventionally structured program of events. Instead of having predetermined speakers or session topics, the participants shape the agenda themselves at the beginning of the unconference and share information and ideas in a more decentralized fashion. It's a way to foster and boost the impact of "hallway magic."

Unconferences originated in the technology sector, but have since been used in a variety of professional fields. Unconferences have not yet caught on among lawyers, but Shape the Law is changing that.

This event will be an opportunity to cross-pollinate: learn what others are doing, what works (and what doesn’t), and see if others’ strategies can be adapted to your situation.

Reimagine, Rethink, and Redesign the Legal Workplace.

Join us to reimagine, rethink, and redesign the legal workplace. During this half-day event, we'll explore the question — How can we create more inclusive, accessible and human-friendly workplaces for legal professionals?

In an unconference, we bring together key stakeholders and create a space where a radically different way of thinking is possible. It's an opportunity to share, connect and innovate. The attendees themselves are empowered to come up with the topic that will be discussed. This may include, making the workplace family friendly for parents or those caring for aging parents, rethinking the billable hour, or ways in which we work with non-barred professionals.

To achieve great things, two things are needed:

a plan and not quite enough time.

"

Unconferences are such an organic, rewarding way of connecting with other people, learning from others in such a natural way.

Chandani T

"

I really enjoyed hearing the range of ideas that flowed as soon as the floor was opened and the readiness to dig deep and create change.

Judith G

"

The whole conference was deeply inspiring and refreshed my soul, but it was an extra special moment to meet another solo practitioner like me, with whom I brainstormed about how to infuse more wellness, wealth, and wisdom into our practices.
